Ye Olde Smokehouse @ Cameron Highlands, Pahang

We have always been a fan of awesome European architecture. One day, we would love to travel to European countries like England, Scotland, Rome, Italy etc etc to admire and to be amazed by one of the most unique architecture in the world. However, based on our current budget, we only afford to pay a visit to Ye Olde Smokehouse during our Cameron Trip. One day, we shall afford to travel to Europe! Definitely.

Considering the fact that Cameron Highlands was one of the places where the British governors and people lived in, the Ye Olde Smokehouse has completely preserved the British style in terms of the architecture and the environment. The whole area was filled with beautiful flowers and gardens, which made this place one of the most beautiful places for wedding photo shooting sessions. During our visit, we coincidently saw a couple taking their wedding photos here. The English Tudor style building was built in 1939, and it is well-maintained up to now.

The Smokehouse has another "branch" in Fraser's Hills, according to their official website. Ye Olde Smokehouse does not only serve the purpose as a place to snap beautiful photos, it is also a hotel and Western restaurant. The rates, however, is way too high from what we can afford. One night stay at Ye Olde Smokehouse costs around RM400+ to RM680+. Looking at the environment, it definitely worth the price though.

For those who are looking for some authentic experience of the finest English tea and scones, Ye Olde Smokehouse is the perfect place. The restaurant serves English cuisines and you definitely will be satisfied by the spectacular environment with the finest foods.

Even if you do not plan to stay / dine in Ye Olde Smokehouse, this place is definitely worth to visit, especially for capturing the beautiful scenery around the Smokehouse. The environment there was serene and quiet, really gave us a break from the hustle and bustle of the cities that we normally live in.
